Its success in working for such a diverse list reflects the many years of experience of its primary developer in auditing and accounting. It was his frustration with the limitations of many accounting software systems, their limited life span, and poor internal controls and security that led to ICommander being developed.

ICommander works effectively for small and large operations. Our Payroll System is used by some small businesses with under ten employees but one of our largest implementations of Payroll was for a business with over 2,500 employees in several states. We do not presently support international operations, although we do support use by Canadian companies in the Canadian currency.

Who, Why, and How Summaries for Some Industries
School Districts
Local Units of Government
Oil and Gas Well Servicing Companies
Country Clubs
Work Force Development Agencies
Charter Schools
Small Townships

The ICommander "Who, Why, and How?" (WWH) summaries provide overviews of how ICommander Accounting Software is beneficial to particular industry types. There are types of industries and organizations using ICommander that do not currently have a Who, Why and How summary. If your industry is not on the list above, you may still find these useful.

The WWH Summary related to Oil & Gas Well Servicing would be a guide for any service industry where charges are based in part on employee time and in part on equipment used. It would also apply to professional service firms, except that charges then are a direct vs indirect function of employee time. Since the Oil & Gas Well Servicing includes trucking, it would also apply to trucking only companies.

Similarly, the School District WWH would apply to a college but would omit how various ICommander G/L functions facilitate accounting for Endowment Funds. The Country Club WWH would apply in part to any membership organization and in part to any type of restaurant operation, since a restaurant is a typical part of Country Club operations.
